Meter Solutions has developed an innovative training facility that provides our employees with an opportunity for hands-on meter installation, reading and troubleshooting experience. Training also teaches proper yard etiquette, customer service skills, installation procedures, handheld operations, safety protocol, materials management and inventory control.
Employees also complete a company handbook testing their knowledge of company policies and job specific instructions. In-field training requires technicians to spend 40 hours installing meters with an experienced technician. Once an installer has proven his competence by completing a field work book he begins installing. Our field supervisor spot checks 50% of the newly trained installer’s meters.
Meter Solutions recruits, screens, hires and trains locally all field and office support personnel. Our company office will support the management team’s recruiting, hiring and training activities. All technicians are required to submit to background checks prior to employment.
Meter Solutions employs an inventive Inventory Tracking process. This process virtually eliminates the chance for lost, stolen or damaged meters. Meter Solutions requires its employees to keep several Inventory Tracking sheets. These Inventory Tracking sheets are used to track the materials used daily, weekly and monthly. All of the reports generated are accessible by our customers via the Meter Solutions’ website. This system permits our customers to obtain an up to date accounting at any time.
Meter Solutions is dedicated to customer service. We know that our performance must be quantified and each meter installed properly. All Performance Tracking and Reporting forms are accessible to our customers via the Meter Solutions website, allowing our customers to track project deployment progress.
Meter Solutions has implemented an innovative Quality Assurance program. Our goal is to have every installable meter correctly installed. We strive for a 99% route completion rate without installation errors.
Meter Solutions has a standard three strike policy. When a meter is visited and cannot be installed, our technicians leave behind a door hanger notifying the customer of our intentions, and offer a phone number the customer can call to reschedule the installation. The technician will then revisit the customer to attempt the installation again. If this attempt is unsuccessful, the technician’s supervisor is given the account information and will then make a third attempt.
Meter Solutions has created a streamlined web-based billing process that will provide our customers with an accurate and timely accounting of meters installed. We feel that this new billing process virtually eliminates billing discrepancies.
